The Process
The Process
We believe in keeping things super-simple. Right at the start you’ll be given a dedicated Generation NE Business Advisor who’ll be your single point of contact throughout the whole process. Here’s how the process works:
Step One:
Step 1
The first thing we’ll do is arrange a meeting with your local Business Advisor. It’s a great opportunity to get to know each other and talk about your business’s individual aspirations, growth plans, recruitment needs and so on.
Step Two:
Step 2
The next step is to explore the potential for work experience, jobs, apprenticeships and traineeships. Your Business Advisor will make sure they fully understand the infrastructure of your business to determine how a young person would best fit your organisation.
Step Three:
Step 3
Once a role has been identified, Generation NE will initially advertise the role internally and our Employment Advisor will begin searching for a match. It will then be advertised via Jobcentre Plus and through our wider network of partners.
Step Four:
Step 4
Your Business Advisor will then pre-screen all candidates to make sure only the most suitable young people are put forward for interview. In many cases they’ll also facilitate and confirm interview dates and times.
Step Five:
Step 5
On appointment of a young person, your Business Advisor will make regular contact with you to monitor their progress and ensure a smooth transition into the role.
